Company History

Bosworth is a medium sized company employing over 100 people and specialise in the manufacture of conveyor pulleys and forgings.

Bosworth was established in 1943 and became the first company to produce fabricated conveyor pulleys in South Africa. Over the years the pulleys have developed to the current series where all components of the pulley are computer designed.

Bosworth was the first conveyor pulley manufacturer in South Africa to obtain an ISO9002 listing.

Over the years we have produced thousands of conveyor pulleys for both the local and overseas markets.

During the past few years we have increased both our design and manufacturing capabilities.

We have developed a 3-D modeling drawing system using Solid Works and have now added in-house FEA design onto this package.

Our manufacturing capacities are now further enhanced with an additional 2000 square meter factory space. We are now able to fabricate pulleys up to 3,0 m in diameter and 12m overall shaft length. We can roll up to 3m wide.
